"Light-hearted Walks" programmeA series of themed walks open to the general public in Windsor and Eton, conducted in a light-hearted way with humorous anecdotes and topical stories, suitable for all ages. Walks take place once 4 people have booked; please make sure you book in advance. Dogs welcome on most walks but please check first! Windsor and Eton
Windsor, frequented by the Royal family from the eleventh century has
the oldest inhabited castle in the world. It's a town where every corner
hides a unique story, which we will be happy to divulge!
Sunday 6th July 2008:11.30am: Windsor's riverside and swans -WALK CANCELLED DUE TO ARRANGEMENTS FOR HENLEY REGATTASunday 3rd August 2008:11.30am: Mediaeval Windsor- meet at Tourist Information CentreA light-hearted walk through the old market area of Windsor and around the castle walls, with romantic stories from Mediaeval times.
Sunday 7th September 2008:11.30am: Victorian Windsor - meet at Tourist Information CentreA light-hearted walk from central Windsor out into the Victorian town expansion, to enjoy the architecture and tales of change and innovation.
Sunday 12th October 2008:11.30am: Georgian Windsor - meet at Tourist Information CentreThis period was a time of great change - building projects at the castle and the rattle of coaches within the town.
Sunday 26th October 2008:8pm: Hell-arious Hallowe'en Hallucinations! - phone ahead for the meeting pointThe Original Comedy Ghost Walk comes to Windsor again to celebrate the spooky time of year. Meet the garish Cesca Pitt and her ghoulish friends and be swept around the town in a trance while enjoying their outlandish antics.
